Being that CHEC is a Christian organization, we require (in accordance to Hebrews 10:25) that our members be plugged in with a local body of believers. Realizing that many are new to our community or may be seeking a new church, we allow a one year grace period to find a church home. Many different churches as well as denominations are represented in our group. Let us know what you are looking for, and we will be happy to assist you in finding a good fit for your family.

9. Waiver of Liability:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I shall defend, protect, indemnify and save harmless the CHEC Board, New Covenant Church, and their respective officers, directors and employees (collectively referred to for purposes of this paragraph as “NCC”) and any other facilities that may be used for a CHEC event from and against all claims, demands, lawsuits, causes of action, strict liability claims, penalties, fines, administrative law actions and orders, expenses (including, but not limited to, attorneys’ fees) and costs of every kind and character arising out of or in any way incident to the use of the NCC or other facilities as outlined in this Agreement, on account of personal injuries, death, damage to property, or damage to the environment. The duty to defend, protect, indemnify and save the CHEC board, NCC and other facilities harmless referred to in the preceding sentence shall include, but not be limited to, claims, demands, lawsuits, strict liability claims, penalties, fines, administrative law actions and orders, costs, expenses and causes of action which result from the comparative, concurrent or contributing negligence of any person or entity of NCC or other facilities used for CHEC purposes.

12. We as a board wanted to touch base with you as a new member and make sure that you know that although we are a Christian based community, we do not affiliate ourselves with any particular denomination. We hold to the understanding that once the Statement of Faith is signed, we respect that each family may believe differently and therefore we stay neutral to anything outside what is clearly stated on the SOF. We do not encourage members to promote their own denomination or share why one set of beliefs is superior to another.

We are a diverse Christian community and want to encourage anyone that is of the Christian faith to join and participate as they feel comfortable. We as leadership just want everyone to feel as welcome as possible but want to respect that when we meet as a group, that we are all believers.

13. CHEC operates in the true spirit of a co-op, with each member family selecting a service to complete during the year. This is how we are able to offer such a wonderful variety of activities and opportunities.
