Prudentia Club Membership Information
Prudentia Speech and Debate is dedicated to empowering Christian homeschooled students to become effective speakers, critical thinkers, and future leaders. We are affiliated with STOA, a nationally recognized competitive homeschool speech & debate league.
Our goals:
-
Facilitate opportunities for training and competition. Iron sharpens iron. Proverbs 27:17
-
Equip students in the art of critical thinking, public speaking, and debate, and promote the development of enhanced writing and listening skills. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. I Peter 3:15
-
Prepare students to defend the truth, with an emphasis on cordially conveying one’s point of view. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. Ephesians 4:15
Key verse: For the kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power. I Corinthians 4:20
